Microsoft not to extend subscriptions to Russians companies
MOSCOW, Aug 10 (PRIME) -- U.S. software giant Microsoft will no longer extend subscription for Russian companies, the support service told PRIME on Thursday.
“I can confirm information only regarding corporate subscriptions for Microsoft 365. All the involved business clients are already informed by a message released at the Microsoft 365 Administration Center,” the service said.
News and research agency TelecomDaily earlier posted on its Telegram channel a letter from Microsoft Online Services’ technical support, which says that the company will stop prolonging the licenses to Russian corporate clients after September 30. It added that all active subscriptions will be valid till the end of the period.
“As we said earlier (in March 2022), Microsoft suspends launches of new products, sales of services, and many other aspects of their operations in Russia in compliance with the sanctions of the E.U., the U.K., and the U.S.,” a Microsoft spokesperson told PRIME.
